As Another Year
Draws to a Close
December 27, 2011 by Jack Ott
The Denver Chapter of CCM
closed out the year with an evening of social celebration and levity at its fourth annual Christmas
Party (as Mark Levin would proudly exclaim in his usual manner, "There; I
said it!". But then, just like "The Great One," CCM was never big on
political correctness.)
This year's festivities
took place on Tuesday, December 20, at the Rialto Cafe in downtown Denver. This was a big
step up from previous holiday parties at the Columbine Library or the Beckman Center at
CCU. It featured a fine dinner from the menu, which all of the twenty or so members,
spouses, and friends in attendance enjoyed.
Of course, no CCM
Christmas Party is complete without the usual "White Elephant" gift exchange
which took place after dinner. The usual gag gifts and serious gifts were exchanged, some
of them several times as people decided that they preferred a present picked earlier by
someone else.
After dinner and the gift
exchange, President Roy Caldwell wished everyone a Happy Holiday Season, and reminded them
that officer elections would be taking place at our next meeting in January.
The festivities ended
about 8:45PM.
